i don't know why but i always feel like i am apologising for late posts there is 2 reasons this time and not one not been fishing much is the first and the second is i wonted to show you a video of me removing a hook from my hand but blogger wont upload it for some reason but hear is some more fish caught on the green the bream was 13.8lb

Again sorry for the delay in resent posts but i have to shout about my new bait the green it is by far the best bait i have used,

its been catching quite a few fish over hear in the UK but i went to France not long ago with a school trip i can't show all the fish on hear but they are on facebook we had well over 40 for the week with all the kids catching fish!!!

if you can let the fish have some bait the rewards are massive'

so long as you don't mined Green stuff being excreted on to you mat.

firstly i would like to apologise for the very lateness of my post, I'm not complaining believe me but i have been very busy at the minuet developing my new bait THE GREEN, witch should be on the shelf in the shops and online when i get beck from France with my final testing stages.

I have fallen Lucky a little over this as i have been asked to go and help the Phoenix school kids out on a week fishing trip.

basically i have another five Field Testers to test modification of the bait for a final week to make sure the bait is as good as it could be.

Other than the green i have one other thing to shout about this month and that is Prologic xlnt Spectrum fluorocarbon simply the best hook link and leader material i have ever used and over the next month or so i will show you wot i have been doing with it.

Sorry for the delay in resent post but i have only been out the once since the last post, due to the weather and about 2 foot of snow on the Gounod and the rivers and lakes frozen apart from the main body of the Trent. PS i like to fish the back waters at this time of the year due to the fish holding together ready for spawning in Jan/Feb.

But when i was out i did catch another fish on a savage gear swim and jerk 4 play again and i promise i don't mean to sound like a stuck record but they simply the best pike lures out on the market at the minuet

Hi people sorry to seem to rant aimlessly on and on about savage gear but the fact of the matter is they are simply awesome they catch me pike after pike and hear if you think I'm telling fibs is another 4 play lure fish at 22lb

Well everyboddy i am sorry for the delay in my poste its due to the how busy i have been in the shop making bait and selling tackle, its a very good thing i promise i am not complaining.

Just the one fish worth photo graphing this last month but to be far i haven't been out that much either!!!

This is another fish to fall to my bait the doggs bollox available in store but not yet online there is another 35lb + fish to fall to the same bait that a friend of mine caught and hope to have the pic for that fish soon.

All these fish this year have been caught on korda wide gape hooks tied kd style and fish with very small pva bags and a few free bees near by.

On anther note the new korda kaptor hooks are now out and available in store and online they are good follow my link to read about them.

and a 17.3 barbel as well as other mid double figure barbel(no pic friends fish) but has been designed to pic out the bigger fish it certainly seems to be doing the job for me anyway!!!

The last week or so i have been very busy working @ Future Fishing so i haven't had much time on my hands but have seen a few fish knocking about on the top and in snags and they have really tuned on to food. I have been putting bait not in the snag but not far from it and noticed a biggish one was there but would not eat from the baited patch but around it.

So i carried on fishing on the top with the korda Interceptor Controller and did a few fish but Saturday Niel was working the afternoon and Sunday morning so i had chance to go out and night it so i went were i saw this fish put a tight baited spot down and fished 2 foot from it and at 4 in the morning i was rewarded with that big one i had been seeing.

All the smaller fish came to the korda Interceptor Controller that sad it don't mean i wont catch a biggy off the top i have before and will again I'm just stressing the importance of when your hopping to search out a couple of fish. It is to find them and fish to them not just put a gig bed out randomly and hope for the best.

Carp fishing the River Trent at Newark in Nottinghamshire

For those of you that havn't experianced my baits, or the excitement of fishing the River Trent for carp, here are some fish cought on beds of Super "V"; one of my new groundbaits not yet listed on my site. this was introduced into a couple of swims along the Trent over a period of two weeks with fishing taking place during the second week for short spells of approx 2hrs in the evenings.

The rig components and tactics were very simple.

1, Sufix Magic Touch hook link mono (12lb)

2, Korda size 6 Kurv shank hook pattern

3, Dynamite Source boilies (freezer)

Please take a look at the picture as to how the components are asembled. You will see that i have whipped the hook link material much further down the shank as to give a better pricking capability i am confident that this rig will help you hook more fish. give it a go!

This fish should show you how important it is to find the fish as this fish was on the bank within one hour of fishing.

Fish were spotted were i was fishing earlier in the day, so i jumped on there.

After fishing about 30 Min's i saw a fish crash in another swim moved and cast out and withing 20 min this was on the bank.

It fell to a monster tigernut boilie with a very very small boilie crumb stick.

My termanal was a simple inline lead by atomic, and covert anti tangle sleaves gardners Heavy plumit leadcore my hook was a Raptor big T and hook link was mono same as my main.

How to get more fish out this winter

As the weather cools down and water temperature drops you change baits over for the winter. this is true for most baits epically my hook baits but not my ground bait, Future Fishing Molasses Ground bait has a high concentration of molasses a sweat attractants that works all year round. although i am now using less.

My hook baits however have change i use the Dynamite Baits Terry Hearns The Source in the summer and have now switched over to the monster tiger nut boilie as it works extremely well in could water so long as you use it sparingly. fished like this you should see a lot more fish on the bank this winter.

Try your best to get Freezer Baits as the go much better.

As you have probably guessed i haven't been doing much fishing lately and as both Craig's have left Future Fishing i haven't had any reports of fish to show you. However i have now, as Jamie an up and coming local lad came into my shop two weeks ago and asked about clearing weed, as he had spotted a big common in the Trent but it was very weedy in that area. I spoke about Future Fishing molasses Groundbait. So gave him a free bag to try. He came back with this beauty he saw how good it was for getting there heads down and clearing a patch. He thought if its that good he will use it as paste and mixed it with egg and did nice one Jamie. you did well.

PS expect more from Jamie Toon as he is a hell of an angler.

Future Fishing Molasses Ground Bait

As you can see it has been a good week this week with the New season opening.

This week I have been on Thorseby Estate lake as i had heard there were substantial amounts of weed in the lake, which intern means big fish. I started out by spoding a huge bed of Future Fishing Molasses Ground bait , 10KG with 4 tins of corn and fished two rods over the top of my baited area. I was using a Withypool Rig to give me extra security so that my hook bait was not buried in the weed.

I used Korda Super Soft IQ as a hook link but soon changed to ESP Ghost after I lost three fish. This is because the IQ abrasion resistance is poor, a small amount of weed on my hook link and I was snapped!! A very bad Fault for fluorocarbon line as that's were I use it most. As you can see the change worked as when i had stopped catching large bream, see pic 3, I landed these two beauties, a 25lb common pic 1, and a 18 1/2lb mirror pic 2. Another very good day thanks to Future Fishing Molasses Ground Bait.

A Big One

This week Craig Sandas did well with this 22.7lb common, third pic down, which fell to a Dynamite Tiger Nut Boilie with the same stick mix. This was mixed 50/50 with our own"Future Fishing Molasses Ground Bait". All these fish came out on the same tactics with a large bed of bait, now they have finished spawning.

As the last post told you how my baits could improve your catch rate, I went back to the same water to prove my theory to make sure it was not a fluke, and it wasn't. As you can see from the pic above there was more fish than this, as there was a really big mirror to show you but the battery went dead on my phone, so there is no pic. But as you can see I was ripping them out, "Future Fishing Molasses Ground Bait" really dose the job its meant to do.

Firstly I would like to apologize for the lateness of my blog post, as I have had very little time this last week to update it. I have been working with the Princes Trust working towards giving you a better service, by offering products that we use to catch these fish on, on my web site Future Fishing.
This week I have been out perfecting bait that I created for the carp but was plagued by Bream solely, so I took it back to the drawing board and reinvented this product to attract carp, big bream and big roach. Some carp anglers may see this as a step back in time as they consider any other fish other than a Carp a nuisance. However when the going is tough, having large shoals of big Bream and roach combined with my high attract Ground bait “Future Fishing molasses Ground Bait” can really improve your catch rate as you can see in the Pics above.
This was a very tough time of the year for this lake as the carp was in the rushers spawning, but after the bream got their heads down so did the carp and a good day was had.

Wow That Was Cold

This week I fished the A1 pits again as it is on my door step, However I blanked.

I saw the fish about eighty yards out crashing in a weed bed, and cast on their heads. I was rubbing my hands together as there is a huge concentration of thirty's in pit five excellent for this far north. Two Tone the lake record, that was caught last year at 39.12lbs, and should have been over forty now full of spawn . But I was too late all that commotion over that weed bed was them spawning. I had two runs and struck into nothing, upon reeling my rods in I found carp eggs on the weed attached to my hook so in my opinion I'm wasting my time trying to catch them as you normally would. I will go back this week and fish a Bright pop up about 12 inch, the full length of my hook link fully pop ed up and see what happens. I feel I should get a curiosity take just like my friend Craig did when he caught this 18.7lb Common when it was -8 in Feb way too cold for fish to be feeding.

A1 Pits (South Muskham Fisheries)

This weekend saw me do a forty eight hour stretch on this beautiful and large complex A1 Pits (South Muskham Fisheries)

When I arrived I saw no end of fish in all of the six lakes, cruising on the top but like all waters on the weekend it was packed with Carpers.

Nearly every peg on this complex was taken by anglers spodding huge beds of bait out. I saw one angler place a 25kg bed of hemp out and fished over it for only 12hrs, and so it went on with most other anglers doing the same –“crazy!” The fish were some 17 feet off the bottom, they were feeding on the top and basking in the sun. We had more basking than feeding it had to be said. These fish were not going to go down on to the anglers hook bait. Even if they went down they would not find it due to the size of the baited area. If the anglers didn't catch they would put more bait out thus making conditions more difficult.

So anyway enough of how not to do it, how did I get on? Well, unfortunately I only took the one fish, this beautiful 18.5lb Common. I caught it on a Dynamite Tiger Nut pop up. On a zig rig, something very few other anglers were doing and it came out at six o’clock Saturday morning out of pit five.

I missed another 2 runs that evening and left with only this fish to my name but a lot better than the majority of the anglers there. It just goes to show, you need to fish were the fish are and use a good bait, this way you will out fish other anglers.

The warm weather at night has finally brought the carp up to scratch. Yesterday I had this 15.lb.10 out and another 4 fish as well, while friend and field tester Craig Sanders had 5 fish and Callender put us both to shame with over 30 fish on the bank. He really got it right that day.

I posted the ‘carp are coming on the feed’ article last week referring to how you should be using bags and sticks, as the water is still too cold to take large beds of bait. This week I went back with my other field tester Craig Callender only for him to catch the same fish Craig Sanders caught last week. The fish fell to a Tiger Nut boilie by Dynamite so it looks like I have the right two men for the job as they have both caught the happily named Carp Craig within 7 days.

The last couple of weeks has seen the temperature rise in the UK and large amounts of summer anglers gracing the bank. Do not fall in to the same trap by putting large beds of bait out as this will make things more difficult this early in the season. This is what all summer anglers seem to be doing currently. I see small lakes packed with anglers all chucking 5 to 10kg of bait in. Adding up to probably over 100kg for a 4/5 acre lake.
